New Song: French Montana Featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, ‘Marble Floors’

A wise man named French Montana once told us to “Pop That” — a lesson we won’t soon forget! And now? French is positing that every home should have marble floors. An expensive, but stunning decor addition, don’t you think? (You’ll find out why below.) Slated to appear on Montana’s Excuse My French, due in 2013, “Marble Floors” boasts production by Mike Will Made It, features rhymes by 2 Chainz, AND even welcomes “Pop That” collaborators Lil Wayne and Rick Ross back into the fold. #FriendsInHighPlaces.

Listen to French Montana’s “Marble Floors” Featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz after the jump.

“Marble Floors” is set to a gritty, aggressive beat. French Montana takes some time to spit about his wealth, specifically his new princess cut diamond bracelet: “Princess cuts all in my wrist/ Hundred rounds all in my hip/ 200 grand all in my whip.” 2 Chainz, on the other hand, is totally hooking up with your girlfriend right now and doesn’t care if you know about it: “I get paid every time I leave my driveway/ Got your girl tip-toeing on my marble floors/ Sitting by the pool, jumping off the diving board.” Who knew that the secret to a successful affair was marble floors? It’s because they don’t make noise when you tiptoe on them! It’s like the world’s worst knock-knock joke — except genius.

Rihanna’s ‘Unapologetic’ Debuts At No. 1 With 238K Sold In 1st Week. Nicki Minaj’s ‘Re-Up’ Sells 34K.

Rihanna got the big debut everyone expected for her new album Unapologetic. The album sold 238,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, giving the singer her biggest 1st week sales ever, earning the Bajan beauty her very first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart according to Billboard.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up moved 34,501 copies according to HitsDailyDouble

Minaj blamed the low sales total on three of the nations biggest retailers.

“It is hard to get the album because the stores basically said that the last few re-releases they had put out did not do well and they didn’t want to take a chance,” she said in a recent appearance The Breakfast Club. “So, Target and Walmart is not selling the album. Target is actually my biggest retailer — they’ve always been my biggest retailer. They’ve sold the most Nicki Minaj albums ever, so, thank you, Target. But I wish you could’ve sold this one.”

As for Best Buy, the retailer “only took limited [quantities] because they’re like ‘Oh we don’t know, we want to play it safe,’ so it’s very difficult and it kind of sets you up to fail,” she said, adding that some of her fans “have been driving hours, literally hours, to get one CD. But it is what it is, and I appreciate the support, and I’m excited about the music.”

Walmart spokesperson Veronica Marshall told Spin.com that they would would have carried the album had Nicki offered an edited version, which she did not.

“We do not carry any music that has a parental advisory label on it,” said Marshall. “However, we carry edited versions of those music titles. That album did not come with an edited option, so that’s why Walmart isn’t carrying that album.”
