Remember This : Classic – DJ Premier, Rakim, Kanye West, Nas, KRS-One (VIDEO HD)

Pretty Lou: Nas pronounced hip-hop is dead, then broke out the defibrillator and shocked it back to life. (Classic) Better Than I’ve Ever Been is a Nike Air Force One 25th Anniversary Promo, and like the sneaker it’s a classic. The old school-new school collaboration features a straight turntable beat and verses from legends Nas, Rakim, and KRS-One showing the difference between “MC-ing and rap.” The question here some might ask is, does Kayne belong among such prolific Artist? While it may be a little soon to grant K-West timeless status, his verse proves he can hold his own among the greatest of all-time. Better Than I’ve Ever Been is required listening for anyone who loves hip-hop.

Shaq Wants You To Sip On His Liquor

Shaq is getting in the liquor business, and his new brand Luv Shaq will be on the shelves in 2013.

You read that right. Luv. Shaq.

According to the New York Post, it’s going to be “sugar- and gluten-free,” and it will be available in “in coconut flavor, and the bottle features an image of O’Neal with giant wings.” Giant. Wings. The founder of Devotion Vodka, which is producing the vodka, says it will compete with Diddy’s Ciroc, but at a “more competitive price.”

I applaud Shaq for making a liquor that is more “health conscious” (but it’s still alcohol, how conscious can it be?) especially since teeny skinny cocktails are all the rage right now. Get in where you fit it, Mr. O’Neal. But the name? And the gimmick of him with wings? I don’t know if I can cosign this one, bruh. I would have accepted T.W.I.S.M. over this.

Will you try Shaq’s vodka?

Is Joey Bada$$ Thinking of Signing with Roc Nation?

While A$AP Rocky’s debut album LongLiveA$AP unfortunately leaked today, some vital information may have also leaked about Joey Bada$$ signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. During Joey’s verse on the posse cut “1 Train,” he raps, “Just got back to the block from a 6 o’clock with Jigga/And I’m thinking ’bout signing to the Roc/But my ni**as on the block still is signed to the rocks.”

Though nothing has been confirmed, but this line does suggest that Joey and Jigga have met, and that a Roc Nation deal could be in the works. Could this be Jay-Z passing the torch to the next great Brooklyn MC? We’ll have to wait and see if there is any truth behind Joey’s bars.
