Solange Attacks & Assaults Jay Z In Elevator (Extended Video)

This is quite unbelievable.

TMZ has obtained surveillance footage from an elevator of Standard Hotel in NYC where Beyonce’s sister Solange can be seen violently assaulting Jay Z. The incident occurred at the Met Gala after party last week but it’s unclear what triggered the attack. Beyonce is seen in the elevator too but she doesn’t get involved. Jay gets attacked a few times despite the bodyguard holding Solange back but he only defends himself and doesn’t counter attack.

Watch the shocking video below.

Following the video leak, the Standard Hotel has released a statement, vowing to take action for the security breach.

“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests,” the hotel said in a statement obtained by E! News. “We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”

The brawl has generated endless Internet buzz and the hashtag #WhatJayZSaidtoSolange has even been trending on Twitter.

Dr. Dre Confirms Beats-Apple Deal In New Video

Earlier today, reports surfaced that Apple was closing in to purchase Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion. The deal, which will make Dr. Dre the first Hip-Hop billionaire has now been confirmed via series of videos through Tyrese’s Instagram, who was in the studio with him. The price of the deal, however, has not been confirmed yet.

Beats is best known for their headphones which was founded by Dr. Dre and Interscope head Jimmy Iovine in 2008 and their newly launched music streaming service which received mixed reviews. Recently, Forbes estimated the value of Beats at about $2 billion, but Apple is said to be paying a much higher price for the reported acquisition. Interestingly, BuzzFeed reports that the deal is also aimed at bringing Jimmy Iovine from Universal Music Group to join Apple in a “creative role”.

We’d have to wait for the official word but one thing is for sure — Dr. Dre will become Hip-Hop’s first billionaire so congrats to him. Watch the video below.
