Kendrick Lamar ignites Twitter uproar after slamming fellow rappers, declares himself ‘King of New York’ on Big Sean’s new song ‘Control’

Kendrick Lamar is taking control of the hip-hop game.

The 26-year-old rapper’s verse on Big Sean’s single “Control,” which was released Tuesday, reminded fellow lyricists what the true nature of hip-hop is … competition.

Lamar’s lyrics, which begin at approximately three minutes into the song, include: “I’m usually homeboys with the same n—-s I’m rhyming with/ But this is hip-hop and them n—-s should know what time it is/ And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale/ Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake/ Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller/ I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you n—-s/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n—-s/ They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n—-s/ What is competition?”

50 Cent Brings Out Meek Mill At Mixshow Live; Meek Previews New Tracks From ‘Dreamchasers 3′

The semi-annual MixShow Live conference is taking place in Atlanta, Georgia from Friday till Sunday. But last night’s event definitely made headlines. 50 Cent was hosting a G-Unit listening featuring Kidd Kidd when he invited Meek Mill to the stage. It was all fine till 50 spotted Trav in Meek’s entourage. Trav is an upcoming rapper who was close to the G-Unit camp but a few weeks ago, he went on a Twitter rant against 50 but the world doesn’t know the reason behind those feelings. 50 had a problem when he saw him coming up to the stage and almost confronted him but Meek calmed and difused the situation like a mature man.

Meek then spoke on the mic for a bit where he said that he wasn’t interested in getting involved in the Rick Ross-50 Cent beef. He also played a few unheard tracks from Dreamchasers 3 including a Jadakiss collaboration which samples ‘I Got 5 On It’.
