Big news for The Cannon! The veteran DJ and producer has been appointed Vice President of A&R at Def Jam Recordings today. He will be based in Atlanta and will oversee current projects as well as look for new talent. He will report directly to Ms. Kwak, while working closely with Steve Bartels, President & COO, Island Def Jam Music Group.
Says Ms. Kwak:

Yasiin Bey appears in a video launched today demonstrating the standard operating procedure for force-feeding prisoners on hunger strike at Guantanamo Bay. Prisoners in Guantanamo have been hunger-striking since February this year, with the total number involved now well over 100. 40 of those prisoners are being force fed. The visuals were made by the charity Reprieve and Bafta-award winning director Asif Kapadia. Watch the clip below but be warned, it’s not fit for all audiences.
