Sha Money XL Leaves Def Jam For Epic Records

After serving as the Senior Vice President of A&R at Island Def Jam for three years, Sha Money XL has parted ways with Def Jam and signs on as the Executive Vice President of Urban A&R at Epic Records.

Sha Money’s highly successful career dates back to bringing 50 Cent to the mainstream level and becoming President of G-Unit Records until 2007 as well as producing a slew of tracks for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Juvenile, Scarface and more. His success didn’t stop there as he executive produced Big K.R.I.T.’ debut album and signed 2 Chainz to Def Jam in 2012.

Another chapter in Sha Money XL’s life is set to begin. After previously holding various positions, Sha Money is stepping forward to work as EVP of Urban A&R for Epic Records.

“As I embark on this new Epic journey,” remarked Sha Money, “I have a great vision for what the new record industry should be like, the music, the experience and lifestyle.”

First it was LA Reid, then Joie Manda, now Sha Money XL. And so the Def Jam ship continue to sink.
