Kendrick was fresh outta losses at the Grammys but that did not stop him from making not one but two special appearances on the same night. After surprising the crowd at J. Cole’s show at MSG, he headed to Dom Kennedy and Skeme’s concert at Irving Plaza presented by The Source magazine and performed ‘Backseat Freestyle’.

J. Cole celebrated his 29th birthday in style last night. After dropping a free mixtape and announcing a deal with Interscope for his Dreamville imprint, J. Cole tore down Madison Square Garden in NYC. He brought out Kendrick Lamar and Jay Z as special guests to surprise the crowd.
Jay came to the stage while performing ‘Public Service Announcement’ and gifted Cole the original Roc-A-Fella Records chain. “That on your neck is my original Roc chain and it’s yours“, announced Jay. He then proceeded to perform ‘F*ckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt’
Cole wasn’t done. He bragged about selling more albums than Kanye’s Yeezus during ‘Forbidden Fruit’ and then brought K. Dot out of no where who delivered the final hook of the song. Kendrick performed ‘Backseat Freestyle’ and ‘m.A.A.d City’ before leaving.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took 4 Grammys home last night while Kendrick Lamar couldn’t win a single one. Mack, who is friends with K. Dot feels bad about the situation as he feels good kid, m.A.A.d city was a better Rap album. After revealing the text he sent to Kendrick after last night’s ceremony, Mack called into Hot 97 this morning to talk to Rosenberg and Ebro about the wins and Kendrick getting ‘Robbed”.
