The moment finally happened. Nicki Minaj paid a visit to Hot 97 studios for the first time since the Summer Jam fiasco which caused big headlines in the music world. The issue has been addressed by both parties numerous times but it was finally time for a one to one, in-person interaction.
First off, Nicki politely disrespected Rosenberg by questioning his resume but admitted that she’s over the situation and wants to move on. Peter then defended his action at the festival stage on Hot 97 but told Nicki that he has nothing against her personally. Nicki revealed that for her upcoming album, she’s intentionally choosing to go back to the essence of Hip-Hop. She talked about her Rap features like ‘Monster’, spoke on the importance of word play, how she’s multifaceted, being a businesswoman, attending Summer Jam as a kid when Jay-Z brought out Michael Jackson, working on a movie with Cameron Diaz, industry people not being attractive to her and more.
